It is a specialized freezer-grade, fast set, hot melt adhesive designed specifically for sealing frozen food cases in the refrigerator, freezer, or blast chiller. Well suited for high-speed packaging and automated assembly, ASA-8257M provides a fast and strong bond to multiple substrates, including cardboard, chipboard, and coated stock. Freezer packaging, commonly used in the food industry, is frequently wax coated or varnished, making traditional glue sticks challenging to adhere to. ASA-8257M explicitly bonds to these surfaces. The cold resistance and ability to adhere to difficult to bond substrates make this an ideal adhesive solution for frozen food, ice cream, and dessert manufacturers. FDA Status: Meets composition requirements for FDA reg 21 CFR 175.105 for food packaging adhesives.
